Ground Source Heat Pump Installation
Ground source heat pumps use pipes buried in the ground to extract heat from the earth and use it to provide heating and hot water. Unlike air source systems, they are not affected by air temperature — the ground stays at a consistent temperature throughout the year — delivering predictable, reliable efficiency in all seasons.
We install ground source heat pump systems under the MCS scheme and handle all documentation for the Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS) where eligible. We have been installing heat pumps since the early 2000s and have the experience to design systems that perform well in real conditions.
Consistent, Reliable Heating
Ground source heat pumps are well suited to properties with suitable ground area for a horizontal collector, or sufficient depth for a borehole. They are particularly good for new builds, rural properties, farms, and commercial buildings where the groundwork can be incorporated into the construction.
The design phase is critical. We carefully size the collector system for the building’s heating load and specify the heat pump correctly for long-term performance. A properly designed and installed ground source system provides consistent, low-maintenance heating for many years.
Horizontal Ground Arrays
Pipes in shallow trenches across available land. Usually the most cost-effective option where land is available, and ideal when incorporated into new construction or groundwork.
Borehole Systems
For limited land areas, vertical boreholes access stable ground temperatures at depth, providing excellent year-round efficiency.
